Brazilian driver Kiko Porto (Toyota Gazoo Racing / Banco Daycoval / MC Games / Team: Rafa Racing) showed impressive adaptation in his first time on the Canadian circuit at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Toronto. In the fourth round of the IMSA VP Racing Sportscar Challenge season, the Brazilian not only quickly familiarized himself with the track but also secured pole position and won the first of two weekend races.

Representing Rafa Racing Team colors, Porto remains firmly in the lead of the GSX category behind the wheel of the number 8 Toyota GR Supra. Kiko demonstrated consistency and speed from free practice, when he topped the second session with a good margin over the runner-up.

In qualifying, Kiko Porto set a time of 1min22sec699, securing pole position for the first race. The benchmark established by the Brazilian was enough to start from the front of the grid on a track he had only experienced in recent days.

The first race, held this Saturday (12th), was completely dominated by the Brazilian. Porto led from lights to flag during the 45-minute race, always maintaining a good advantage over his competitors. In addition to the victory, Kiko recorded the fastest lap in the GSX category and completed 30 laps on the Canadian circuit.

"It was a lights-to-flag victory. Super important for the championship, we had a small problem in the first free practice, but we made a good setup in the second. Pole for both races and victory today, with fastest lap. I couldn't ask for more than that from God above. Tomorrow there's more, I'm counting on everyone's support, let's go for it," celebrated Kiko Porto after crossing the finish line.

The Brazilian's exceptional performance wasn't limited to just the first race. In qualifying, Porto also set the second-best lap time in his category, with a time of 1min22sec714, securing pole position for the weekend's second race.

The VP Racing Sportscar Challenge program in Toronto continues with the second race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park scheduled for this Sunday (14th), at 12:10 PM Brasília time. Kiko Porto will have another opportunity to extend his lead in the GSX category standings.

Brazilian fans will be able to follow the races through IMSA's official YouTube channel, where all the motorsport action will be broadcast live. With the performance shown in his Canadian debut, expectations are high for another standout performance from the Brazilian in the second race.
