Sebring, FL – March 11, 2025
The Michelin Pilot Challenge competitors are back on track this week for the second round of the 2025 season at Sebring International Raceway in Florida. As part of the IMSA (International Motor Sport Association) calendar, the series promises high-intensity action, with tight battles and race strategies that test both the machines and the drivers’ skills.
Among the standouts in the field, Brazilian driver Celso Neto (AMED / Dipromed / LS Interbank / SODI USA by Velocity Racing / Team: Precision Racing LA) is set to hit the grid again. The Bahia-born driver, who showcased his determination and talent in the season opener, will be back behind the Precision Racing LA Audi RS3 wheel. Partnering with American Ryan Eversley, Celso is looking to repeat the success of their Daytona debut, where they secured a third-place podium finish after a demanding four-hour race.
Sharing the No. 7 car, the duo showed great synergy. At Daytona, their podium finish resulted from a flawless team effort, with well-executed strategies and a perfectly synchronized crew. Now, the challenge is even tougher in Sebring—this historic track is known for its demanding nature, requiring precision and constant adaptation.
“Sebring is especially tough because of its abrasive surface, deep bumps, and the fact that it hasn’t been resurfaced since the 1970s. It’s extremely bumpy and punishing on the car. We have to be smart about managing the equipment to ensure we make it to the finish in one piece,” analyzed Celso.
The Sebring weekend kicks off this Wednesday (12th) with the first practice session at 11:25 AM (local time). On Thursday (13th), drivers will have another practice session in the morning, followed by the all-important qualifying session in the afternoon, which will determine the starting grid. All eyes are on the main race, scheduled for Friday (14th), with the green flag dropping at 11:15 AM local time.
“This is the track where I have the most experience in the U.S. This will be my fourth time racing here at Sebring so that it will be interesting for us. We’re slightly behind some of the other brands and models in terms of performance, but we’re ready to fight,” added Celso Neto.
Beyond the on-track action, fans will have the chance to interact with the drivers and teams during the “Fan Walk,” a special pit lane visit on Friday morning. The race will be streamed live for Brazilian fans on IMSA’s official YouTube channel, ensuring they can cheer for Celso Neto and follow every twist and turn of this thrilling journey.
