Kiko Porto Kicks Off 2025 with New Challenges and a GT4 Debut in VP Racing

After a remarkable season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, where he claimed one victory and finished third in the overall standings of the PRO class, Brazilian driver Kiko Porto (Banco Daycoval / MC Games / Team: Rafa Racing) begins 2025 by taking a new direction in his career. He now joins Rafa Racing to compete in the VP Racing series, part of the IMSA – International Motor Sport Association.

The talented young driver will race behind the wheel of the Toyota GR Supra, facing a new level of competition and taking on highly skilled opponents in international motorsport. For Kiko, this change represents a natural step forward in his career. "After such a special year in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, where I learned a lot and achieved great results, I feel ready for this next challenge. It’s a new opportunity that motivates me and pushes me to keep growing as a driver," he emphasized.

Joining Rafa Racing marks a new phase in Kiko Porto’s career, further solidifying his presence on the international motorsport stage. The transition to the VP Racing series, known for its diversity and technical excellence, highlights the potential of the 21-year-old from Pernambuco as one of Brazil’s top names in motorsport.

"I want to apply everything I’ve learned so far to have a consistent championship and, of course, to aim for strong results with Rafa Racing. I’m very motivated and excited to get on track," Kiko said.

Kiko’s first challenge of the new season is already on the horizon. He will debut in the series from January 17 to 19 during the opening round at the iconic Daytona International Speedway in Florida. The legendary circuit, renowned for its rich history and technical demands, provides the perfect stage for the Brazilian to start a new chapter in his racing career.

Daytona is not just a technical challenge; it’s also a sacred place in global motorsport. Speaking about the chance to race there, Kiko couldn’t hide his excitement. "Daytona is a magical place for any driver. Just the thought of competing on such a historic track is thrilling. I’ve been working hard to prepare and give my best from the very first lap," he said.

Demonstrating confidence and determination to tackle the challenges of 2025, Kiko also promises more announcements soon, signaling an ambitious and achievement-filled year ahead.
