Elkhart Lake, WI - August 2nd, 2025
Road America, located in the American state of Wisconsin, hosts this weekend the seventh round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in the 2025 season. The technical and challenging circuit will be the stage for another fierce battle among TCR category competitors, promising to deliver excitement from start to finish of the two-hour endurance race.
Brazilian driver Celso Neto (AMED / Dipromed / LS Interbank / SODI USA by Velocity Racing / Precision Racing LA), coming off a podium finish alongside his teammate Ryan Eversley, will compete aboard his Audi RS3 number 7 in the TCR category. The duo's objective is clear: score important points to climb up the championship standings and stay in contention for the top positions this season.
A major step was taken in that direction during the qualifying session that set the starting grid for Saturday's race. With a lap time of 2min16sec706, Celso secured a spot on the front row in second position, demonstrating the competitive potential of the Precision Racing LA team's car.
The qualifying result gained even more value considering the difficulties faced by the team during practice sessions. The Brazilian driver highlighted the car setup evolution throughout the day, overcoming initial obstacles to achieve high-level performance when it mattered most.
"A P2 in qualifying here, I'm very happy with that, on a track that is very technical. The day had many ups and downs. We started with a car that was very difficult to drive, but we evolved a lot. We didn't do the first practice and only six laps in the second practice. Then we went to qualifying and got a P2 right away, I'm very happy. Now we have a long race, it's two hours of racing," declared Celso Neto after the qualifying session.
Celso Neto, who represents the colors of Precision Racing LA, will be the first to start from row one at 2:05 PM (local time) for the seventh round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The privileged grid position puts the Brazilian in ideal conditions to fight for victory and maintain the positive sequence of results this season.
The race promises to be strategic, with its two-hour duration and driver change around the halfway point of the competition, demanding not only speed but also strategy, consistency, and tire management. The teamwork between Celso Neto and Ryan Eversley will be fundamental to maximize the Audi RS3's potential and achieve another impressive championship result, following their third-place finish in the last round at Toronto.
To follow Celso Neto and all the details of the race at Road America, fans can watch through IMSA's official YouTube channel, which offers complete race coverage with specialized commentary and all the excitement of North American motorsports.
